I just saw a news story about a woman living in New York who would have epileptic attacks whenever she listened to a particular song on her iPod.
Did she stop playing the song. Noooo! She would play it and have an attack.
How fricking stupid do you have to be to figure out; no listen, no epileptic siezure.
This is only one example of stupid run rampant. "Oh if I stab myself with a knife I bleed. Look" *stab*
What is it with these idiots. It seems to be the prevalent thing. Do a stupid thing, and then repeat it, and then complain because it is painful, ruins your health or some other such. But you don't stop doing it.
The gene pool is in bad shape. Too many of these idiots are being allowed to breed.

It would take quite a few seizures before you started to think maybe it was the fault of the particular song you were listening to. And I don't think the first thing out of a doctor's or neurologist's mouth is going to be "What were you listening to on your iPod at the time?"
The real polluters of the gene pool are more of the "Hey, let's get drunk and stoned, taunt a tiger until it escapes its enclosure and kills our friend, then pretend we didn't do shit and we weren't underage / driving around with open liquor oh ps mr dad of the kid who got eaten we totally bugged the shit out of that nine foot cat until it was enraged enough to scale a twenty foot tall concrete obstacle so it could maul, savage, and bite at your son until he was dead" variety.
Well, actually, there are far worse out there. There are so many delicious flavours to choose from.

So did she die or will she survive long enough to sue someone?

I don't know ... I think there are a few songs I love that, if they caused me to get sick, I would be seriously depressed that I'd be advised never get to listen to them again ... like something on my Violator or Joshua Tree albums, something like that.
I wouldn't listen to them regularly, of course, certainly not keep them on an IPod queue (if I had one). But every once in a while I think I'd want to, just to stick a needle in the eye of fate trying to tell me what I can and can't do with my life, potential personal harm be damned. I'd make sure I wasn't in a position to hurt anyone else before I did it, though, and it'd have to be a damn good song.

I thought that Kramer's seizures listening to Mary Hart's voice were something that only happened in sitcoms :p

Actually, the best thing to do would be to kick the lifeguard in the pool, and hold their head in until the kicking stops. Natural Selection at work here. If she's dead, she's probably a nomination for this year's Darwin Award.

I've often wondered if those who get epillepsy triggered by strobe lights could have it triggered by driving down a road with periodically planted trees or fence posts that are casting periodic shadows from a very bright sun behind them. Under those circumstances, you get bright light strobing across your vision. It could go on for some time if it's a long line of trees/posts. And if you do get seizures from that, what can you do? Drive slower? Sue the trees or the sun? Frantically scramble to get the sun visor over to the side before seizure kicks in? I don't know about seizures, but road trips are really good at inducing random thoughts.
