Stop repeating this, it is ignorant tripe, borne of a poor understanding of misguided ideology.
In short, the fact that you would utter such words marks you as a simpleton and a fool.
I love TTLG. We get to say NO UR RONG UR STUPED GO DYE IN A FIAR without actually backing that shit up.
Can someone explain exactly why saying "government doesn't work" is wrong?
I'm not an anarchist, btw, and neither is AFiH- I believe you need a government to keep things running, but seriously, it should never have gotten to this size.

I'm no fan of Obama, but I liked that speech better than any speech I've heard him give. Good luck to him.

I haven't been able to watch the speech yet, I was driving to class when the inauguration started. I will after dinner- does anyone know where I can find a replay of the whole thing? (bad poetry and all)

There's no point in even arguing; I should know better than to post here.
You should've stopped right there.
No rly.

Edit: The fact that you somehow believe that government employees are inherently superior to every other human being is laughable. blahblahblah ......
Tell me something flower; is being an idiot like being high all the time? You strike me as an expert on the subject. (Of being an idiot, that is.)

And lots of "this won't be easy but we can do it" style optimism.
I was holding my breath to see whether or not Obama would start making glaringly fake promises re: how he's going to handle all the crises we're in the midst of (like W did during his inaugural speeches, which during the first speech left the US Treasurer with a serious migraine before W even got halfway through his speech, while the rest of us sat in front of our TVs scratching our heads, muttering things like '...and he's going to do this how???). Obama didn't (thank God) sink to W's level; the 'this won't be easy but ...etc.' kindled some small amount of hope in my politician-weary and overly cynical heart.

Good rousing speech. Makes me proud to be an American.
