It is out now in North America. I think the March date is the UK release.
Going back to DXPC vs DXPS2... One of my great triumphs in educating my youngest brother was convincing him to at least get Deus Ex for PS2 if he isn't going to play any PC games. Which, of course, means that I've played the console port of Deus Ex.
I didn't like the control configuration much. But that's what I've said about every console port of a PC game, from UT to Max Payne. It just isn't easy to translate a keyboard + mouse combo to a 12 or 14-button controller without losing a lot of the interface flow. It's the biggest limitation of consoles, in my mind. But when a game is either designed for console or redesigned to be ported, you can get a lot of that sorted out.
Erm.
I guess my point was that if you're already familiar with the PS2 version, you won't suffer the same disorientation with controls. Even though you'll be going from constrained to sprawling, that's not as bad as going from sprawling to constrained, if that makes sense.
Plus the PC version just looks crisper and nicer. You can't get the same picture quality on a TV that you can on a monitor. Unless you play your PS2 through a High Definition Digital Plasma Flatscreen OMG MARIO IS 20 FEET HIGH JumboTron 2000.
And if you do, then I hate you on principle because I am jealous as all hell.
