Hi, I'm having trouble in getting the direction of the flow of the "Waterfall Thick" found in the fx/emitter/Actor class browser pane...I have positioned the arrow to point in the desired direction, but the flow is always in the wrong way around...no matter which way the arrow is pointing, the flow remains the same...any ideas please.
Thank you.

The arrow works only with a couple of emitters which are somehow set to follow the arrow... but I cannot remember those properties now. What you have to do is change the direction in the actual emitter properties. I think you need these:

Thank you for that my friend, I will tinker with those settings this afternoon.
How do you use the water splash emitter...I put one where the waterfall should touch the water surface and had no joy with it so I am stuck with water either dripping or falling into water and leaving no mark.
I have got the start of a tidy little mission and what I am trying to do is to master each part of the level before I am tempted to rush off and build another room...after the water, figuring out how to make debris, like crates and barrels float like flotsam.
Very many thanks.

The properties only have velocity x,y and z...there is no min , max or any of the other properties that your expanded picture shows...maybe my editor is messed up. :tsktsk:

Do you have Show non-local props box checked?

Non local props box is not checked....should it be.

If you want to see all possible properties without right-click adding them, yes.

No good I'm afraid I just cannot seem to rotate this waterfall effect...I'll just have to make do with the thinner one for the end where the larger one wont rotate to suit.
Is there a tutorial that you know of that sets down how to use the water splash fx as I still have no idea on how to use them along with making barrels, boxes and other debri float please.
Thanks Judith.
