How do I make good waterfall FX that (ideally) aren't FPS destroyers? I notice there's a tutorial on this by JasonOtto listed in the Tutorials thread, but with no active links. If someone has a link by any chance, could they post it here?
If left to tackle this alone, I would probably try playing around with a sheet of falling white disks. I see that NewDark has a special new particle property "bitmap disk" which looks interesting - are there any vanilla bitmaps I could use that would be best for the waterfall case?
Any and all tidbits of particle know-how would be appreciated. Alternatively, let me know a FM with good waterfall FX and I can have a look in DromEd.
Thanks!

Sliptip made some excellent white-water FX. Not sure if he ever used them in a released mission, but I put them to good use in Sturmdrang Peak - look at the underground river in mission 4.

Waterfalls do not look like particles. Water with a fast-scrolling texture would be the way to go. Save the particles for the splash zone.

@nicked Thanks, I'll check out that FM.
@ZylonBane That makes a lot of sense now I think about it :D
