... and it looks like they may have done another Assassin's Creed 2: a sequel that builds on the potential of the first game while avoiding many of its biggest shortcomings.
Damn, and I'm suddenly interested. Henke, will you be playing the PS4 or PC version? If it's the former, I'm curious how it performs on the console.

It is indeed the PS4 version. All downloaded and good to go, I'll BOOT UP and JACK IN once I get home from work.

Sometimes it's almost impossible not to read '80s and early '90s cyberpunk jargon as euphemisms for masturbation.

It performs very well. No hiccups or slowdowns so far. No bugs or crashes. Except for a few COMPUTER BUGS and CAR CRASHES am i rite? The game looks splendid, with hundreds - MAYBE THOUSANDS - of pixels on screen at once, in ALL THE COLORS OF THE RAINBOW! And it runs at probably a few DOZEN frames per second, if not more! Take that, Digital Foundry! Thanks, henke, that's definitely reassuring. Except for the bit with all the colours of the rainbow - sounds a bit gay, but then again, this is San Francisco we're talking about. As long as we don't have to make a cake in-game...

First you make a cake, then you HACK it with the INTERNET!

Let's not forget the ICEing on it, eh. Mmm, delicious neural shorting.

Haven't done any cake-bake missions yet, but here's one I did last night where I steal a fancy car from a movie set. This is actually the first proper story-mission. If it looks like I occasionally don't know what I'm doing, it's because I don't.

It took me forever to finish that tutorial mission (I don't think it was particularly good at teaching the basics in a clear way, and the controls are surprisingly different from the first game), but I definitely prefer this one's much sillier, OTT and just generally fun vibe to the first's grim pompousness.
