Well, I'm not gonna necromong the other thread.
Can anyone, in a nice bulleted list, dismiss all the "evidence" provided in zeitgeist?
Like that guy who said he tested the metal and found traces of thermite? That the steel remains where shiped out to other countries within days of the attack? Was that guy full of shit? That a crashed plane should leave remains?
And all the other stuff.
(why don't I do it myself? Don't waste time pondering such things and hurry up and answer!)

* Thermite is alumninum + iron oxide. Planes are made of aluminium. Surprise?
* A crashed plane FULL OF FUEL will not leave very much debris at all. Normal planes ditch their fuel before they crash for saftey.

Collecting income tax does not come in conflict with the constitution read amendment 16 jeez. I have watched this .... documentary (if you could even call it that) some parts are complete and utter bullshit, some parts make sense and are probably true..... this movie opens up alot of doors for endless debates. C'mon guys the fact is with a uncredited movie like this you will never know what is true. I do have alot to say but rite now im busy

Well way back when the CIA did think about bringing down a cuban airliner full of Americans and blaming it on the Cubans to have an excuse to invade.
And there was the Gulf of Tonken incident which was staged to get the US into Vietnam.
Clearly there is a precedent for fakery although the scale would be much larger.
Of course the one that gets me is a whole airliner vaporizing into a relatively small hole in the wall of the Pentagon including bodies, luggage and and two titanium alloyed engine housings. That gives me a huge chuckle.

What this discussion illustrates is that the events in this world are most of the time too complicated to be fully analyzed, understood or explained by an individual, especially when the individual is not a direct witness of the events and when the individual lacks time for research or information literacy.
My second observation is - and this goes beyond the posts in this thread - that therefore people tend to choose an extreme side on the "I totally believe this"/"This is all bollocks"-continuum
before they have actually invested time on researchng a particular subject.
This is reacting to events and arguments blindly prejudiced. Worse, because people do not want to think too much, because people do not want to research different and possibly conflicting perspectives on a subject, because people constantly avoid (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_dissonance) cognitive dissonance, there is not going to be a great deal of discussion.
There a a numerous flaws in Zeitgeist, some of which were pointed out in this thread. Still, there is a middle ground between buying completely into the film's message and completely dismissing it as fiction.
