They ARE actually claiming the world trade centre attack was planned and executed by the American government, or at the very least by people they set up to do it.

I actually watched it just to see, and it was interesting if a little dodgy in parts. I'm actually interested in whether or not a few things are true - mostly, that the third WTC building (7) was basically left out of the government report after collapsing even though the planes didn't touch it (and fire shouldn't have been enough to bring it down). That seemed the most bizarre one to me, that it folded on itself like an implosion and then everyone conveniently forgot about it.

Also, they claimed that NORAD was running wargames involving planes being hijacked and flown into buildings on the same day it actually happened in America - and the same in Britain when the bombings happened - apparently they were running drills on that exact scenario, at some of the same places? That is beyond bizarre.

Basically the best case scenario was that multiple levels of people fucked up majorly; middle ground is that somebody on the inside made it a bit easier for these things to slip through the cracks, and the worse case is that it was deliberate from the top down.

By the way, they made a few references to things such as the Oklahoma bombing (I think) being allowed by the FBI - was there ever any controversy about these things in the American media? It's hard to tell whether it's a complete line of bullshit when they just have the 'voice' of a former ranking FBI agent, it simply could be anyone talking.

Yeah, that's the crux of it all, isn't it. They have a source listing up ((http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/sources.htm)) - but the problem is you'd need to get your hands on all of this stuff, a lot of it books, to verify where THOSE sources got their stats from as well.

Well .. it depends what you mean by "exercises" I suppose. The police in London hold pretend "what if someone tried to blow up the tube??" exercises on a regular basis? Yeah, probably. I hope so, anyway.

The police in London held an exact replica exercise of what actually happened, on the day it happened? That's a claim which requires specific evidence (some guy on a google video is not brilliant evidence).

Mind you, even if it was true, I'm not sure where it fits into THE CONSPIRACY PICTURE (the police knew it would happen, so they had a practise exercise the morning before, to make sure fewer people died, because the evil, terror-plot-allowing government want less people to die, because ... uh.. wait, what?) It's the kind of story that makes you go "ahhhh" for a couple of seconds, then wonder what purpose it would actually have.
