Can't you all go back to alien abductions and Nessie? The quality of evidence was better.

Yes, because I'm supposed to believe that the entire US government was able to conceal a plot to destroy a major landmark in an effort to cause a global war against "terrorism" that is, in actuality, a front for the liberation of oil reserves... While oil prices are STILL generally influenced by OPEC's stranglehold on the oil market and have yet to go back down to mid 90s levels where it doesn't take me $35 to fill my Impala's tank. While I'm supposed to believe this, I'm also supposed to choke down your ridiculous conspiracy bullshit at the same time. Christianity is fake, blah blah. As if I haven't heard this before. It's obvious that organized religion, for the most part, is a crock of shit. I don't recall God ever saying "you gotta pray in a church or else I can't hear you".
So the actual translation here is: I think you should go refill your koolaid cup.

I am highlighting to the extreme here and recommend that you watch the whole film.It is easy to refute such unbelievable theories around the coffee table if you choose to skim the issues. The fact is,the film (Zeitgeist) is not full of conjecture and halfbaked ideas. It is populated by pure factual information.Information that leaves one with little choice but to accept what is, and has been happening for decades.
I use phrases like this to make sure my bullshit detector is switched on. It's not calibrated to expect them in normal discourse!
Is this flick actually thinly disguised neo-nazi claptrap?

It also draws attention to the "Theory" that 9/11 was a False flag incident, perpetrated (like Pearl harbour, among others)by the oval office and friends. For more on this see the film"Loose Change" and Alex Jones' Terror storm website.
Zeitgeist is more of those? K, now I know I don't need to waste 2 hours of my life on it.

By the way--and this is not an argument--I had thought the fish symbol for Christianity came from the Greek IXΘYΣ. Any Greek natives, speakers,or scholars know if this is indeed, "ichthus," a word for fish?
I don't know about fish symbols, but yes, "IXΘYΣ" is a Greek word for fish.
Gingerbread Man on 29/6/2007 at 02:28
Yes, it's true. It fell out of the "fishers of men" thing and it was sufficiently oblique to be innocuous.
