In fact, you can expect people to treat you like a total noob. Maybe swear at you. Mooning is a distinct possibility as well. But you probably don't need to worry about defenstration. Probably.
Well, I'm not a noob =)

Usually it's of bad form to revive an old thread unless you have something constructive to add. For example, if someone asked a question that was never answered, and then you answered it, no one would get mad. But if instead of an answer you say, "I don't know the answer either" you would immediately be shot.
No joke. There are guns hidden in your monitor.

Yeah, I've noticed this whole thread is very constructive, - the only postings that somehow correspond to the topic tytle are, well, a couole of first ones... So I wouldn't really feel guilty by adding another offtopic posting had I done it in a half of a year... =)

... Anyway....going back to err.... warts :p ...
Why can't I cross the Sirid River? Shall I be allowed to do that on some major level?
I wanted to just, you know, sweem a little, to pick some ninroots....
The guards are stupid senseless mechanical toys, repeating the same words, depending on your bounty amount.
Using objects in some quests is automatic - for example, instead of taking a potion from my inventory and using it on a dead person I wish to reanimate(DB quest), I simply talk to a dead body and the potion is automatically removed from my inventory... Would be much better if I was allowed more mechanical actions.
And yet, why can't I use weapon while sitting on a horse? It's natural, isn't it?
Would be nice if a plant disappeared after I picked it up, giving a sense of reality.
Lots of inhabitants use the same manner of speach, same words, like robots - it has to be put more life in their conversations.
I can't pick up a dead or unconcious person to hide it someplace, away from guards sight. I simply don't need it cos' if I murdered someone and no guard saw it, they won't suspect anything, even though a thousand corpses would lie around me and not a second person in miles around to suspect =)
In TDS, for example, when a guard notices a corpse, he raises alarm and bares his sword, no matter if he actually saw the process of murdering or no. At the same time, if he didn't see, say, a process of robbery, he wouldn't attack you on the exit cos' it's illogical. A guard cannot know what's going on inside a place, if it's going on quiet, unless he can see through walls....
If I think of anything else, I'll edit.= )
EDIT, as I promised: When using 3rd person view, you can't turn camera to view the face - only the back... That's annoying. Or...can you?

Hold down the 3rd-person button (Middle mouse mutton for me) until the camera changes, and you will be able to move the mouse to rotate the camera around your character until you let go of the button.

Didn't have the time earlier, but I'll have a go at some other questions.

If that's one of those "You cannot go any further, turn back" points - you'll never be able to pass that. It is the border to another territory, and Oblivion only deals with Cyrodiil. There's a hack to take down the invisible walls, but after a few mountains and the like, it's just all flat nothing.

It is possible to move bodies. Hold down the 'Z' button while the crosshair is on a person, and you can drag them, though it's pretty hard to get used to. This works with basically anything that's not nailed down.
Also, I think guards do get a little alerted when they find a body, but I'm not 100%. Just going on what I've heard elsewhere.
