I'm still on my first char, which is a thief. I'm pretty happy with her. Put marksman and sneak as major skills. Kill enemies from a distance, then once they're dead, go loot their stuff. Once your sneak is pretty high, you can shoot at someone, they'll charge you, but if you stay sneaking, they won't see you, and you can sit right in frfont of them and shoot at them and they won't hit you b/c you're sneaking. Not very realistic, but then neither is running around shooting fireballs at something, or even in this day and age, running around wearing ebony armor and swinging a sword.
And of course, thieves win hands down for making $$ :cool:
