Very much looking forward to this! If they ask for,or do a kick starter,I would happily donate.
Oh you can get it will be on Kickstarter, and it will go through the roof money wise I'm betting.
Wonder what the stretch goals will be. I'm betting level editor in there somewhere, though I'd prefer that be given regardless.

For example, he said "We haven't done a lot with conversation, and establishing emotional relationships with characters in games. So I'd very much like to play with that." I don't see how that fits in a System Shock game.
Take for example SS2, where they in my opinion balanced that superbly by having you develop a tie to the character's leaving logs behind, motivating you to survive, track down and try to rescue these characters, but always keeping you at an arms lenght. It was the perfect carrot on a string. It gave you a clear goal to work towards, while not throwing it in your face by having a quest pop up constantly to "Rescue him/her" etc and giving you waypoints. Even though you never 'met' these characters (at least not alive) you felt as though you were working towards a common goal.
That's in my opinion what I'd like to see Obsidian Entertainment capture in SS3.
Also, I'm very curious to see how the game opens up.
