Are you sure about that? I was under the impression that (
http://www.7crows.com/) 7 Crows was Chris Todd's company, I don't think Pacotti or Grossman were part of it. I think Todd wrote the in-game texts (newspapers etc.) and a couple of cutscene scripts, while Pacotti and Grossman wrote the dialogue. I vaguely recall an interview with Pacotti where he stated that the story and concept of Deus Ex had already been completed before he came on board, he fleshed it out. I don't know, it seems clear it was a collaborative effort.

The (
http://www.7crows.com) 7 Crows website lists project descriptions by Chris Todd, and shows in the Portfolio section under Deus Ex, the names of the people involved. I'd like to see that interview with Pacotti if you have the link. As I mentioned, I'd like to know whether, or the degree to which, they collaborated with Warren on the overall plot of the game, or whether they fleshed out the world with dialog with an existing premise or outline from Warren. If Pacotti did the barks and datacubes, that's obviously a significant part, but doesn't quantify the responsibility for the main plot.

I can't recall the link offhand, sorry, perhaps Google could be helpful. I vaguely suspect it might be in the Deus Ex Continuity Bible feature at GameSpy, but I'm not sure if that's even available anymore.

EDIT: While I haven't been able to find that particular interview, I did find (
http://www.deusex-machina.com/articles/makingofdeusex.asp) this interview at TTLG's own DX site, which features Todd, Pacotti, and several other important members of the dev team and contains plenty of interesting trivia and background detail on the making of the game. Check it out if you haven't already.
