As for Amusei the messenger, all you have to do is hit the T key (default) and wait for 12 to 24 hours in the Imperial city and he will show up for sure.
The TG set of quests are cool and definitely DO NOT SUCK, but I like the dark brotherhood / black hand best.
Glad that works for you, but unfortunately, it didn't work for me or about 20 other people who posted this problem at the Elder Scrolls forum. I waited not only 48 hours game time, but 24 hours real time and he never shows up. I eventually found him, and he won't give me the quest. This is supposedly because I skipped the next to last fence who seems to have disappeared completely from the game.
The bottom line is that when I'm spending the majority of my gameplay time punching in codes and looking all over Bum Fuck to try and force and NPC to let me continue a storyline...well, then I'm not exactly playing the game anymore am I? More like it's playing me. :( :erg:

This kind of threads make me real scared for all my problems with running Oblivion were so far only memory shortage-concerned (which is finally solved, thankfully). Haven't had one single bug nor problems with either of my five characters ever since I bought it. And I am really frightened with how too good it is so far...Though I've only finished two guilds questlines (TG and DB), the MQ isn't even nearly done yet, and thinking I am yet to face any of the problems other players have with the game is really annoying.

No worries, sanity. These problems probably only arise when people mess around in the console too much.
My only issues are memory shortage, and the face deformation while starting the game while being a vampire. (I'm talking about the male-ification of my female character. Vampire hag face is alright, obese fatso male is not alright.)

Oh that vampirism gave me nightmares. Had to start from the very early point where I hadn't been infected yet. So nice to feel comfortable in the daylight again!
BTW Oblivion gates are full of greater empty soul gems.
Lytha on 21/5/2007 at 16:07
Yep, at the higher levels, the empty grand soul gems aren't a problem anymore for the cure quest. Or you just check in with the mages guild traders...
By the way, I started my breton all over again (couldn't remember where the last one left off), and went straight for Fort Camala and the vampires at level 2. +5 str helps when you're a female breton with low strength. :p
Can't say that I encountered any of the bugs the OP complained about before, except a screwup with the GF in one place if talking to him in the wrong order. But that's nothing immediately obvious and fixable with a quick reload. :cheeky:

I've completed the TG storyline and have not had a single problem that you have listed, or any other problems for that matter.

TG quest is full of bugs. If you haven't found any then... Wow. I dunno. That doesn't seem valid. And whoever said that only people who mess around with the console get bugs, well sucks to that, I have crappier-than-crap Vista, and the console (tilde) key just plain doesn't work, with Morrowind or Oblivion. If it did, then I COULD fix the bugs. Gaaawd... I trudged through the bugs in 'The Ultimate Heist' until I got to Anvil, where Countess whatsername and Corvus wander off leaving you stuck there FOREVER. That pissed me off, after I finally jumped around the gates that DO NOT OPEN in that damn statue room and finished the actual heist... Everyone has different issues with that quest. If the gates don't open, you usually cant jump around them cause there's some invisible wall there (of course, why wouldn't there be!!) but you can get around it by jumping up the tiny little 'steps' in the doorframe on the right of said gate (when your facing it) All I ever wanted to do was kill the Grey Fox. He's one of those, 'sorry I'm unconscious' now people. Why does Bethesda take steps backwards with such zeal?? In Morrowind you could kill the GODS. Now I can't even waste some jobber for selling me a haunted house? Good work, you MORONS!!!
