As I've stated elsewhere, I HATE the fact with this movie that it completely rewrites the established lore from the first 2 Warcraft RTS games and goes more for how the Orcs are in Warcraft 3 + World of Warcraft.
Prior to the 3rd game the orcs or horde as they are better known were extremely similar to the Warhammer 40k / Fantasy Battle versions of them, where they were all "FOR THE HORDE" and slaughtering anything that wasn't on their side. From 3 onward it was all "oh but it was only some of them that were like that" and "oh but it was demonic possession at work".
I say fuck that. It wasn't even mentioned till the 3rd game, so have them be the "horde" that they were, as they were in the games at the point in time in which the movie takes place. Don't have factions/tribes arguing over whether to invade or not, to kill or not. That wasn't in the games AT ALL so fuck that. FOR THE HORDE. Less talking, more smashing of skulls.
When the portal invasion of Azeroth happened in the games, that's what they were like (as mentioned in detail in the game manuals for those games) so have them be in that form. If it makes it to a 3rd movie, then sure introduce the other stuff as that would be completely in-line with the games.

Well, WC3 retconned pretty much everything to make a new continuity, so I guess they're more-or-less going with that one.
From what I understand, WoW did the same and retconned pretty much everything again.
As nicked said, it's a film based on a game, those are always dumb. I guess the question is if they can manage to do more dumb than Blizzard themselves did?

It's a videogame movie. There's never been a good one. Never. Why does Hollywood keep bankrolling these!?
I quite enjoyed Prince of Persia.
Assassin's Creed is looking pretty good. I'm not a fan of the games (I have the first one but only got about 1/3 of the way through because, you know, there isn't actually any assassination up to then).

hey guyz are u 4 de alliance or 4 de horde?
Undead4life.
So For the Horde.
But to be honest, I'm not interested in WoW anymore. Blizzard killed my love for that game. 2005-2009 Was a great run. But Blizzard chose to make money, in stead of making a game. WoW is like heroin. But Blizzard actually helped me to become clean. They could have had my 13 euros per months for decades and decades to come. But they messed up. I played their last expansion pack for 4 weeks, when it was released (Nov 2014). And then it was clear I never wanted to play WoW again.
I might watch the movie in a year or two, if I get bored and there's nothing better to watch, or better to play. But no way would I pay to see their movie.

Prince of Persia was really good!
I've heard some troubling things about the percentages of time spent in the modern world vs the ancient world in the Assasin's Creed film to be heavily leaning towards the former, mind you.

Ehh, I forgot about Prince of Persia. It was alright. I remember enjoying it and then forgetting everything about it within a day. It's also one of the most obvious shameful examples of Hollywood whitewashing, but that's a whole 'nother can 'o worms.

Always - No. There have been some AWESOME video game movies.
Mortal Kombat and Resident Evil were excellent. The first Silent Hill movie was pretty good too. I quite liked the first Hitman movie though I've heard that most people hate it, but each to their own.
