I think we're all overlooking the fact that the movie had the trailer for fucking DEATH RACE, so shut up and prepare for some fukken Statham up in this piece

The comic was by the same guy as Superman: Red Son, right? I quite enjoyed that. Pity that Wanted seems to be a pile of repulsive drivel, from what most of you are saying...

It's basically something Chuck Palahniuk would have written right after seeing The Matrix.

I enjoyed the hell out of the movie. Then again, I enjoyed the hell out of Daywatch.
Timur's movies end up being more comicbook-like than comics themselves, but mostly in that giddy, ridiculously over the top way. I heard a guy mention that it's very european, especially with the lengths it unabashedly goes to. Don't go in expecting high art or a serious message, and it'll rock for you.
I got to see it with one of the film's writers, too, which was a total bonus.
And yeah, it's completely different from the comic, which is a marked improvement in my book. It even makes up for how horribly diva Jolie was acting on set.

Except that he's not a terrible writer, but otherwise agreed.

I dunno if Chuck went on a bit of a slide after Fight Club, but I thought he had some insight even if some folks didn't quite seem to get it.
In fact this comic seems to have been written by one of those who came out of the movie and would tell you it's all about 'fucking shit up and sticking it to the man and getting back your manhood from the soul sucking whores' somehow missing half the movie (or conveniently ignoring it and thereby kinda illustrating its point).

Since people have asked about the last page of the comic
Yeah, a bit dumb but I don't see any rape.
