Morte's actually pretty spot on, though I don't remember the racial overtones in the book. The only reason I really became interested in the movie was when I heard that they were removing the whole Brotherhood of Supervillains thing (which is a neat concept, but the middle school level wankery of Millar's execution turned me off pretty early, and that final page is just a fucking insult).

If you tried a bit of reading comprehension, you'd notice that I also mention it being hateful, smug and stupid. Even if there was no racist undertones, it'd still be an interminably smug power fantasy for teenage sociapaths, and you don't have to be a guiltridden liberal that isn't cool enough for racism to find that distasteful.
