I am officially a "cool kid" now, cuz I have my uber-awesome, Greywalker bookmark (signed for me with a personal note by the author, even). Feel free to bask in my glow. :cheeky:
So, now I just gotta figure out how to use it with audiobooks on my iPod...

I meant to ask Blue, is this a publicity stunt of your own devising or are your publishers in on it?

Just lil' ol' me. I did need to have something to put in the attendance packages for the conventions I'm being asked to attend for pre-press publicity (:erg: ) and I hated the idea of stupid little strip-bookmarks or cover-cards. Who keeps those? What good are they? I have a commercially-made bookmark like these and I like it a lot, so I figured out how to make them. So, there will, eventually, be a lot of these floating around, but I'll never sign and date any of the others--that way, these are special. 'Cause you guys have put up with me for so long that you deserve some kind of prize. I wish it was nicer, but that's what I've got.
This pre-press publicity stuff is expensive and tiring. And cutting into my writing time. So is working. Luckily, my contract at a certain large software publisher is over at the end of the month....;)

Are you kidding? This is great! I plan to someday show it to my grandkids to prove that I'm not just some old lady with obnoxious red hair, who smells like gin and knits clotheshanger covers...
Grandkid #1: Shit Gram, that's tight! Did you buy it on eBay?
Me: Watch your fucking language, and no, I got it from Kat Richardson. See, she wrote me a personal note...
Grandkid #2: OMFG (note: this is now a dictionary word)... THE Kat Richardson?!? You actually met her?
Me: Not only met her, we were very good friends... still are.
Grandkid #1: Wow Gram... you are totally awesome! Can I touch you?
Me: Yes, I am, and yes, you may rub my feet.(or something like that) :cheeky:
