Can I have one without a magnet? It looks too thick and probably damages the pages or the spine.

That's a spiffy bookmark, nice job. What exactly is it promoting?
I just wanted to ask you guys, am I the only one here who doesn't really need a bookmark at all? I mean, it doesn't really matter how long back I last was reading a book, I still can manage to find where I left off within a minute.
And if there's a conversation or statement that I want to refer back to earlier in the book, no matter how long the book is (yeah including Tolkienesque proportions) I can always seem to hone in on the area where it is - even though I couldn't exactly recite the book to you I seem to remember the order of things happening quite well.
Anyone else like me? Or am I a freak? :weird:

Greywalker sounds like it will be an interesting read. Will it be published in the UK?
How are these magnetic bookmarks even used? I can't see the purpose behind the magnet. I never use bookmarks anyway. I either a) stop reading at a convinient point (e.g., the start of a chapter) or b) I skim and flick through until I can find where I got to last. Or option c) which is read the book from cover to cover in one go... and then fall asleep at work 'cos I was up too late.

Requested :D. Also I second Iggles suggestion for bragging ;).
It's not the losing place that I'm worried about usually. My book collection seems to eat bookmarks :weird:.

A folded piece of paper is pretty good, with a * on one side so you can leave that on the current page.
If you need to know the exact line you were up to then either your memory is so bad, or it's been such a long time since your last reading, that you'll probably have to re-read a paragraph or two anyway.
