your game looks a lot less saturated than mine :)
I recreated the ruby on that mission, made it slightly smaller and now it's env mapped too.

It's supposed to be an uncut one? I can easily change the texture if it's supposed to be a cut one. The original shape is not random in any way, looks like a cut to me. I guess i went with something in between since i couldnt really figure that out hehe

Granted, the original "gem" model is a flat-textured, flat-colored Platonic solid, so there's plenty of room for interpretation.
But given their context in the game -- the Trickster, Pagans, nature, etc -- it seems fitting that the gems were naturally formed, pulled from the earth already in their octahedral shape, cleaned but otherwise untouched by the insulting grinding and polishing tools of the manfools.

Vurt-
Is it ok to use the new models for Fan Missions, if we credit you? Are they all your own creations, or do we need to pass any credit along to anyone else?

Though there's nothing quite a lovely as a polished gem.
I'd say work to make it look good (with an env_map possibly), and otherwise it'd be easy to make it look unpolished and fresh from the earth with a simple texture swap.

You're probably right ZB.
Any good?

http://piclair.com/data/59gqc.jpg@Weasel absolutely, and yes its all my own. I'll probably release a resource at some point too, i've got thousands of trees, plants and grass models that i've done over the years, i should probably convert at least a few of them to the community.

ok, ran through the trail of blood level - time for some more constructive criticism:
-the new rock model, being quite a bit larger than the original model, causes gameplay issues - completely hides some loot, and, as the phys model remains the same, player can clip through (parts of) it.
-more transparency issues on the plants (probably all of them could use that mtl fix you mentioned, as they clearly have issues when a transparent part should be displayed over another transparent part).
-in the maw, there is also a red water that could use an update.
-there is a really messy place (linking the (
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B6HbtMBk0pYzZ0l0b2FGZElVX3M) save and the screenshots) where the new trees clip through the hollowed out sequoia tree and the tree bark texture looks all wrong (from the outside, look for tree 915. when I made the model two times smaller, the clipping issues were fixed. if you can produce a small version of that tree, I'll be able to dml fix it).
-the snowy trees could use some new models as well (probably planned, but I'll mention it anyway).

It would be great to get some realistic icycle models. The ones in Thief have always been pretty bad.
