please could you upload it somewhere that doesn't require registration?

Why wouldn't you have a registration on NexusMods though? If you're only just very slightly interested in game mods it's by far the biggest one with support for thousands of games including all the classics like Thief, SS2, Morrowind etc.
Like usual i will make updates to the mod too, so it's not very convenient to have to upload it elsewhere as well every time i do that.

yeah they don't have mipmaps because NewDark is supposed to do them automatically, doesn't seem to be working though. Making mipmaps for the textures seems to crash the game, or it doesn't load them properly. It's something i have to research. I don't think it's noticeable for the most part, but you do need to play the game at 2560+ resolution, lower than that and i bet it will look kind of bad.
anyways, working on yet another update (v0.9a was released earlier today).. it won't fix the mipmaps but it will add more textures and fixes to a few broken ones that were just blue..

I will check my resolution and see if that mitigates it. I just noticed a few tree and plant models had big gray panels that might be because of broken transparency assignments

no, they're missing some textures i believe, i have removed them in the update i made earlier today.
edit: hmm v0.9a never got applied to the page, well, v0.9b is uploaded now. i uploaded with zip instead, it's less compressed.

gave feedback on 0.9b in the systemshock.org thread, overall good progress but needs a few more whacks with the hammer.

I guess it doesn't do them automatically for DXT, which is what you probably should be using.

Yes, i've been using DDS DXT1, but without mipmaps.
But the recent version has mipmaps for most DDS files. I (well, chatgpt) created a script to check out what other mods are doing with the files in terms of mipmaps. It seems like they're leaving out water from using mipmaps, amongst some other files.
I have seen the game crash again though. I am thinking it has to do with the 2048 textures so i'll do another script that will go over all of them and make sure they're 1024 instead.

I recommend you also take a critical look at the upscaling results, some individual textures (like stainmec.dds) are suffering from AI misunderstanding
