So I started playing this before something shinier dropped and snatched my attention.
It's...
* OKAY.
* Most definitely not an RPG or Imm Sim.
* Quite pretty, but with odd ugly spots, as is the case with many UE5 games of this current crop.
* Small.
* Atmospheric.
* Oddly traffic free.
* Pretty fun in combat, albeit with almost zero enemy variety.
* Fun to parkour around, as long as there are no humans in sight.
* Not great at representing masquerade violations.
* Completely devoid of the "Humanity" mechanic, massively reducing the consequences of your actions.
* Almost entirely lacking interactables, apart from objects that can be telekinetically picked up and thrown / fired in combat.
And most importantly, it's not a worthy sequel to the first game, which I played through about a month ago, and still holds up incredibly well (warrens aside.)
It is however an interesting Vampire game, and is worth playing when it's on sale. It's nice to once again submerge yourself in the nighttime politicking of bickering predators, and there's a pretty good story being told.
But for me, there's always that nagging sense of what could have been if they'd let Mitsoda's version come to fruition.

It being less of an RPG and more a linear stealth-action game isn't necessarily a bad thing for me. I imagine I'll give this a play at some point down the line.

Stealth is very iffy, should have mentioned that, and I'm playing as the stealth assassin clan, Banu Hakim.
It's pretty binary, and seems to mostly be distance-based, but you can run off mid-fight to hide and recover before continuing to pick off goons.
And one of the Banu Hakim's powers is to go invisible for a time, whereupon you can take out a slew of clueless mooks while they flail around like fish out of water.
Other than that, that's pretty much it; standard action game "stealth."
But yeah, do pick it up when it's on sale; I'd say to wait until it's down to at most €15.
Shouldn't be too long, as I don't think it's sold that well.
