Howdy-ho everybody. I've got a quick question about the beutiful masterpiece that is Morrowind. In Vivec, I know that each of the great houses has a vault filled with excellent stuff (I broke into the Hlaalu one and found a full set of glass armor and two Daedric Dai-Katanas :D. Didn't steal them yet though, as my question will discuss). My question is if you join one of the houses (I have not yet done so, me always being afraid of commitment  ) do you eventually gain access to the vault? I know you break into the Redoran Vault in one of the quests for the Khajiit chick from Pelagiad, but it seems kind of a waste to break into them if I could get them another way (I'm playing a "nice-type" character who usually only steals when there's no other way). Plus the locks one the vault doors are like level 95, and I suck at alteration spells (I only managed to get into the Hlaalu one because I found a Lock-Splitter scroll). If someone could clear this up for me, I would be eternally greatful. Cheers! :joke:

Hrm... oddly enough, I've never been explicitly "given" access to a House vault, and I've GM'd all three of them (with different chars). I'm unsure what'd happen if you tried breaking into your House's vault if you're GM, but my guess is that you get attacked and kicked out, like with everywhere else.
Edit: Oh, and welcome! ;)
Edit2: Oh, and unless I'm forgetting a mission, Ahnassi doesn't send you to a Vivec vault so much as a room in Ebonheart.

Damn; so even if you become GM you don't get access to your own vault? Bummer. Well, it looks as though I'll be breaking in after all. Mmmmm..... Glass Armor.... :cheeky:
Edit: You're quite right:
Ahnassi
does send you to
Ebonhart
. Now why did I get that confused with Vivec? Hmmmmm.... time to ponder. Or sleep. Yay sleep :) .

What the hell? I'm confused. I can't delete my message, and I sent it because I couldn't edit my other message, but now it shows I did edit it! WTF?
Edit: And thanks for the welcome! :)

Why do they have that Delete box up there if it doesn't actually work? I'd think you should be allowed to erase your own message:confused: but I've tried before and it really doesn't let you! How strange!:p

Does anyone know where to get the keys for the house vaults? I only know of one for the bottom Haaluo (shut up! I know I spelled it wrong!) vault and that is in the cabinet in the top floor of the large manor facing it. Does anyone want more info on this or know where some others might be? A death warrant in Vivec is kind of a bad thing as you might agree.

I found another to the Redoran vault in the Dralor Manor in the plaza. Mmm.... ebony...:)

I broke into the redoran and took some stuff, the I thought:this was nice! Sow I went to the Hllaou (Damn that's hard to spell!) one but it was to well guarded. Sooo then I went the telvanni vault and here's my question. I probably got a fake vault or something cause all i found was two rooms, one with two stormatronachs in it. Both rooms only contained two boxes each, one that was empty and one whit a small amount of gold. And Forsythe you said you had raided them all so I wonder were you went to raid the tellvanis?
ohh, and the smiley is just there cause I like it
