brightness/contrast/color adjustments don't work either.
Eventually getting dgVoodoo working should sort this out too. But in case you have to give up on dgVoodoo/ReShade, here's a (
https://www.dropbox.com/s/v27x9n2glc58omo/Setup_DX2VisibleUpgrade_Update_1.2.0.500.exe?dl=1) beta which should make it work with D3D8. It fixes vsync too. The installer is an Update, so install over the current version, keeping the UTP and options. You'll get a "D3D8 window shim disabled" message in the log when the fix is active.

It propmts to uninstall the current version of UP.

It first asks whether to uninstall the current VU version - click Yes. Then it asks whether to keep installed mods (the UTP), and current options. Click yes in both cases.

now after alt-tabbing, ingame brightness/contrast settings work fine, but multisampling drops back to x1.

I'll have a look at that eventually. For the time being you're probably better off enforcing such settings through the graphics driver.

dgVoodoo2 now supports multisampling (2x-4x-8x) and anisotropic filtering too (2x->16x) with no problem :p
As I said before I really can't find any problem with dgVoodoo2 and Win10 C.U.

You're NOT using VisibleUpgrade -> DX2main is the original exe....
You must launch DeusEx2.exe
Set the VRAM to 1024 MB
Reset the brightness to 100%
