i am having some trouble, I am stuck at the begining. I open all the3 locked doors at the start, made my way upstair and got rid of the priest teaching two students, but I cannot open the chest there, or get past the gate. I read something about a pressure plate, but I haven't come across any yet???:ebil:

From memory, which is as ever hazy.......you can use your rope arrows to get up to the beams above one of the staircases. There is a key on one of the beams. I think you have to rope arrow up at one end and then swing tarzan style onto one of the other beams where the key is. Hope that helps.
You can also rope arrow up outside where the two guards are and get up there.

No, I already have the key, I stated that I opened all the doors downstair, one of which needed the key. I have also one lickpick which I found by the gate that I am unable to open. Does anyone know how to open that gate, and the chest in the room with a priest and two novices?:devil:

It sounds to me as though you are both referring to Hammer Asylum rather than Virtual asylum which, although by the same authors, is another mission entirely. In any case, although I made it all the way to the last accessable room in this mission the fact remains that the mission was never completed. If you rope arrow up the courtyard into the skywalk tunnel area you'll find a parchment telling you that. What we are left with is only the very begining of what was intended to be a much larger mission that has yet to be released several years later.
[SPOILER] I did make it into the gate upstairs and after that there's another hammer guard by a pool who you cannot possibly sneak by without alerting. Once you get by him there's another room with some treasure in it but that's it. That's as far as you can go! [SPOILER]

How did you manage to get past the gate? I did rope arrow in the courayrd where there are two guards in the begining. I found a fruit that give you strength and I did get on top of a cross walk. There seems to be a trap door on top which I couldn't open, but I haven't come across any parchment telling me there is no more to the game. By the way I have 24 gas arrows as a result of the archer hitting a wall with his arrows and thus I was able to pick them up later, so getting past that other guard you mentioned shouldn't be a problem for me. :ebil:

OK I went back and played it again just for you. You can and must open the trapdoor in the roof of the walkway. You will find three things in there: the letter I told you of, a key, and a button (I believe it is the button which opens the upstairs gate...)

Ahhh, thanks, I feel sooooo special. :cheeky: I guess last time I wasn't close enough to the trap door and that's why it didn't open when I tried to throb it. The only part I am sad about is letting all those gas arrows go to waste.:ebil:

I got all loot, but even with dml installed this mission (Hammer Asylum) doesn't end for me. Is there any special requirement to complete this mission?
