Ugh, I got this too. But on the bright side, thanks to Rita, I now know how profoundly retarded vBulletin's UI is for deleting visitor messages.

Apparently I'm not good enough for Rita...
Me included. :(
I wonder how she'll feel when she finds out about this e mail I got a couple days ago.
"You are one of the NIGERIA UNDER 17/FIFA2009 Lottery Winner, the sum of Ј500,000.00,Please contact
Fiduciary agent on this email"
You lose Rita :p you swooned the wrong spam bot! :tsktsk:

On a less humorous note: Everybody who got a mail from Rita is now registered in a spam database. Which isn't what you'd want or expect when you allow to be emailed by other members from TTLG.
Isn't there a way to send emails
via a form on TTLG, instead of simply releasing the email address? Now we know there exist bots that can roam vB and exploit the information they find, it would be an idea to turn that feature on, even if it may mean a bit more work for the server.
As long as this hasn't been set it's probably advisable for everyone to revise the (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/profile.php?do=privacy) privacy settings on their contact info, if you haven't done so already.
This bot seems to be picky, it didn't grab my email although it isn't hidden. Not that I complain, but it seems it didn't simply search ttlg and took everything it could (which I'd expect, if it's purpose was sending spam). (No idea, really, I just thought you maybe have a wrong suspicion)

Well... god dammit. I got an email from Rita too. Fortunately my spamcatcher is pretty vigilant.

Rita strikes again.
I am insulted she waited this long :P

Standing by the Turing meter,
When I caught a glimpse of Rita,
Filling in a form in her little netbook.
Chatted her up and tried to win her.
Like a bloody net beginner,
Told her I would really like to see her again.
Oh, lovely Rita cheater maid,
Where would we be without you?
Give us a wink and make us think of you!
That's better than my alliterative heroic poems. :thumb:

Hey Sulphur, I'd up for tag teaming her -- as long as I get to go second.
What sucks is that only a spam bot would find my profile interesting.

Is it possible for the admins to find out the ISP of this spammer and make a complaint? Imagine how worried that person would be if they thought their actions could have consequences.

I wonder if the return email works? If so, I say we all start sending her cock pictures.
Large, black ones.
