Instead be playful. Not like in a game where there's winners and losers but where the fun is in playing.
TBE may have gotten away with telling the girl she's cute and he needed a GF but what he didn't say was how he also smiled at her with a certain mischievous glint that left it up to her to decide whether to flirt back or to take it only as a flattering joke. Which again might just be an invitation for more flirting. Depends on her reaction.
Anyway to pull this off like TBE you need a lot of self confidence, real self confidence, not rap-video-confidence. When I need confidence like this I usually go out dancing, because I love dancing and I'm good at it. Find something that you're good at and that involves social contact with women. This will help you to feel more sure of yourself. Then start slowly. A look lingering a bit longer than necessary and a gratuitous smile will work a long way.
Also: Working up the ladder with women that you think are "average" just because you think it's easier is the lowest of lows. It's humiliating for her and you as well. Don't start like that. Pick a girl you really adore.

You're going to meet the right person and you may be able to tell them and there'd be no problems. I don't see why it has to be a such a big deal. Kolya: By average I was meaning the ones that would look MUCH better if they dressed better or had more confidence in themselves. You should by no means date someone who you think is average looks wise, as that`ll show through and you`ll come across as fake. But with starting off with one that takes alittle work, they generally turn out to be good ones, as you make them a much better person at the end of it. As you help them to be a better person, being the best friend and boyfriend combination.
