You are all congratulating Jimjack for hooking up with a girl that was once his friend. Even though him and her were once friends, that doesn't meant anything in the face of love. The emotional bond, expectations and pure blindness that are generated from a relationship can smash that friendship to pieces in an instant. People's sense of humor, attitude and all that stuff, can end up meaning nothing. I think it will be for the best if Jimjack falls in love with this girl, goes all the way, and ends up getting heart broken, because with your first love, you don't know what you want. You may just end up settling for this girl because she is your first. In actuality you can cause yourself to fall in love with nearly anyone, in all realistic respects, it just takes some ignorance and doubt :eww: That's why love is the only thing that you should be selfish about.
ps: my philosophy on love is stolen "you should know that love will never die, but see how it kills you in the blink of an eye" :tsktsk:

if we're wanking philosophical, why would it matter if he only believes himself to be madly in love if he's happy with her, and she with him?
besides, he's being congratulated on what's an important life milestone (particularly for a guy); and as this thread has pretty clearly demonstrated, it's not a bad idea for it to happen in your late teens/early 20s rather than ending up confused, sexually awkward or even very bitter by the time you turn 26.
