Getting involved with someone who is initially your friend is the best way to go. What's your alternative..find someone likesay a drunk at a bar and spout of a load of lies and then have a meaningless and likely regrettable lay?
At least with a "nice girl" you've got someone who cares about you and takes you for all your flaws and something to build on for a future of unlimited sex.
