Reading modders notes, looks like the only way to save your placed Viewport BG Images is to copy the output in mono for safe keeping (that does nothing for me as you can't paste it in console) or make a batch file. What do they mean? Is there a .bat that dromed will use?
Code:
set_bg_image 2 MontSM 1000 1000 53 -180 -310 -100 1 0 1

You can save it as a .cmd file in the main Thief installation folder (possibly subfolders are allowed to).
IIRC you need to make sure, that you press ENTER after the last (the only in your case) line - otherwise it won't be recognized.
Then in Dromed, in the console panel you can type the name of it and it will execute. Not sure if extension is needed or not - something to check.

I'm not certain what you mean. Save your set_bg_image as a command. Then execute it at the command line in DromEd.
For example, I have the following saved as
set_bg_image_KAapoth.cmd:
Code:
set_bg_image 2 apothapt.png 56 36 806 455 332 270 1 0 1
When I want to use the reference image, I just type
run set_bg_image_KAapoth.cmd and it establishes the reference image for that session.

Oh I didn't know what it meant by "run". I am still a noob when it comes to the console. Thanks guys will give it a go.

So just to follow up, if any new people have the same question. I did all my viewport backgrounds in the dialog to my liking, then hitting okay, you will see the commands spit out in the MONO window. Copy (right-click and choose MARK) and paste them into StartUp.cmd, which I had open with text editor. This way right when I open my dromed, which is in the project folder, it already loads my backgrounds. I only plan to use that install to develop that mission so, no need to make another command for it.
