A few months ago the British government passed a law requiring certain things of 'user generated content' websites. Some sites have decided that complying would be too much trouble, and are not willing to face the financial penalties etc (
please let us not get into the rights and wrongs anyone's stance on the situation).
For example, the first two images in this thread have both been replaced by a generic placeholder saying the content is not viewable in my region:

It's a bit frustrating for those of us in this country as perfectly harmless content is now blocked. There must be some sites which are either exempt from the law (or ignore it), which can allow users to download or view the images online.
Does anyone know of any?
I've tried a few things myself as the search results looked promising (to save anyone else the trouble of looking in to them):

https://instag.com) - didn't work, just seemed to be stutck on 'loading'

https://faceb.com/) - suspiciously identical to the above
[noparse]https://pastedownload.com/imgur-downloader[/noparse] - do not go here! Complains if you have an ad blocker, if you disable the adblocker, you see why ad blockers are 100% justified. Besides that, says it's downloading, but it gets stuck at "Finishing, please wait"

https://www.wfdownloader.xyz/download) - saw this program but reluctant to run it as it could be doing anything. If no-one can vouch for this, I might try this in a VM to run it in isolation... edit: doesn't seem to work, had trouble with example link, though at one point it said the site access had been blocked
Any other tips would be welcome.
(edit: I'm aware of VPNs but would prefer to focus on free/online things, so far I haven't come across any blocked content which justifies paying for things)

if youre willing to be a little bit patient, you can use (
https://archive.is/) archive.is to archive the imgur page. its outside the uk so avoids imgurs geoblock. does take several minutes to finish though (because imgur doesnt serve up the bare .png but instead a whole page with all sorts of other crap too)

Why not archive the TTLG thread itself instead of the imgur page then?

Thanks for the responses. That archive site worked for individual images, but not the entire page.
