View Unread Posts feature

I've never been able to get this to work properly. Whenever I click on the little arrow icon, I'm almost invariably taken to a post several places down from the last one I read. This raises a question - does the forum software take the last time you visited any part of TTLG to be the last time you viewed the forums, or only the last time you actually entered a forum page? If it's the former, then the fact that TTLG is my home page might be responsible for this feature always skipping several posts. Otherwise, what's up?

That's happened to me too, I believe that happens because that new post becomes obsolete because a newer one has been made between you opening the TTLG window
with the unread posts and clicking the arrow button.

I think this is correct - if you don't load another forum page within a certain time (I think it's about 20 minutes, but that might be quite inaccurate), it'll assume that you've read everything up until the time you opened the last forum page or marked the forum read. This is probably the most annoying "feature" I've noticed on the forums - discovering all the posts marked as read because I searched for one thing while using DromEd a few hours ago is <i>not</i> fun ("Let me see... I think the last time I read everything was at about 2 p.m., so only open the threads updated later than that, guess which page I was up to in any multi-page threads, remember NOT to use the "first unread post" buttons...")
