Nothing new here.
Weren't they supposed to show gameplay at some point ?

When they speak generally of what their aims are, it sounds great. But then I hear about or see the specifics of what they are actually doing, and there's a mismatch. Speaking about immersion(for me), hyper-realistic graphic detail very much takes a backseat to not breaking perspective. Getting the game right doesn't mean bringing back a thief main character, calling him Garrett, and giving him some cosmetic similarities to the original Garrett. I see an atmosphere that is excessively grim for a Thief game. The look is too mundane--maybe that's just a small part of the City, but I would expect them to be showing us what they're proud of. It's impressive in a way, but I see no charm in what they've done. I see an over-powered Garrett. I get the impression that they've developed something so un-Thief-like that Stephen Russell's characterizations just don't fit. It may be a good game, it may even be a great game, but it's looking more and more to me like it's going to be a terrible Thief game.
