This one includes an exlusive bonus mission. Located in a sewer! And in a factory. Also includes 2 weapons: a grenade launcher and remote-controlled charges.
Did you guys see how close DX3-dude runs to the bot at the end without being detected!? Sure he's in cammo, but still! It seems like it would be a bit too easy. Hopefully the gameplay footage was played on Easy and they just ran that close to the enemy to make it perfectly clear to everyone where the charges were being placed.

Includes: an "extreme-range" sniper rifle. The extremeness of it's range is demonstrated by having the DX3-dude shoot a guy on the other side of the street. Also includes a rather nice doublebarrel shotgun. And it includes extra credits for Augmentations+Upgrades. However, there's no bonus-mission in this one.

Bleh to the pre-order bonuses, but the fancy pack actually doesn't look too bad. There's an increasing trend where the former $10 premium for the "special edition" of a game has become a $30 premium (I'm looking at you, Microsoft and Blizzard). The contents are a little generic - art book, soundtrack, bonus DVD - but not a bad deal for $10. So kudos to that.
Part of me really wants to pre-order, part of my wants to pay $5 for all those back-catalog games I've yet to touch. Cause we all know the price on this baby is going to drop fast, even if it's successful. But I do want to support the endeavor, assuming it's good, so I'll probably cough up the big bucks.

Damnit man, I thought we were friends, we had the start of a beautiful thing going there.
Weapons and stuff I don't give a crap about, but a bit of story involving a recurring character from DX? As much as I said I never want to see another Denton again and that I hated DX2's telenovella everybody's-related-to-someone-in-the-original shit, this is something I'm interested in. I want new stories, fresh slates, but if this one does have some relation to a character from the original I do want to see what it's about, and this special preorder crap is pissing me off.
I do want the Collector's with the artbook and stuff, though. So what, my brain's melted from the flu, I need to preorder the Collector's Edition from a specific retailer to get everything I want?

Why do people fall for this shit ? Why do they accept it ? It's like being sold a car without a steering wheel, no engine, and no fucking wheels. I mean I get it, the industry blablabla but this is getting ridiculous. Oh well, I doubt I'll ever buy a new game again anyway. Why pay 70 euros when you can just rent those pieces of shit for 5.

This DLC inspired pre-order bonus content is abysmal, it's just means the normal consumers who don't pre-order get less content for their money.
Must be a square enix idea.
As if Eidos Montreal needs SE to screw people over. It would be hysterical if when all is said and done, SE would be dealt the blame, when all they did was throw money at a developer without much in the way of talent, vision or sense (which is pretty much doing the same as the people who will buy this game). Accessories perhaps, but I seriously doubt all the horrible decisions which serve as the foundations for this game had anything to do with them.
