I assure you we do exist. I even like comics & detest chick flicks.
I had no idea you were female, I guess that's a good thing to know. :p
More females should play video games, it's almost like a good talent going to waste, heh.

Female gamers?
Lies.
Yeah everyone knows women are only good for giving you head while you game.

Studies like this are good for proving to the academic types and parents who see us blow money on these toys that yeah videogames aren't just a pointless diversion, even though the study may be saying something that we all inherently knew in one way or another.
Who the fuck knows what's gonna happen when our generation has kids born into a world where massively complex video-games are being pumped out twice a month.
My bet is that they're gonna be monsters. I'm not gonna tell my child about the internet until he's 13, just like drugs.
[edit] oh and about female gamers, I don't get it. Why should there be a difference between male/females in who actively plays video games. It's like rock music- clearly dominated by males but fuck if I can give you a good reason.

Why should Women not enjoy video games it. They like other games!.
I think though, some may not like the War games so much. I know a lot do. Not my kind of games though,or shoot everything in sight. :p
Someone once said on the Thief forum at Eidos, about some drooling over "Garretts" voice, must be gay men,as he could not understand why!Women would want to blackjack a man and take all his Money.:sly: ;)
Why should there be any difference.
As to Female Rock singers, there seems to be very few. Men just prefer that kind of Singing/playing to Woman in that instance.
Think it is good to keep Children away from the Internet as long as possible.
I found another interesting article (I did not post) Some Schools are now thinking of along the line of allowing Children in Schools to send emails and play games... For certain times during their lessons
As it would help them get ready to go into work later Yes How??
I thought I must stop posting these threads...:eww:
Also Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-0 Yeah

I don't really like war games, but I do love shooting everything in sight. Maybe the amount of testosterone in your body has some effect on that.

This is going totally on personal experience, and may not apply to everyone.
When I was in school girls did play games. My friends & I spent hours playing Chuckie Egg and other games on the BBC Micro. Lot's of girls did. Then they 'grew up' or 'matured'- ie they decided playing games was childish and the important things in life consisted of make-up and boys.
Then they got very annoyed with me as I sat round chatting to boys- as if  they were normal human beings- about books, games and music.
Basically at some point teenage girls like to pretend they're more mature than they really are by giving into peer pressure over acceptable hobbies and interests :tsktsk:

I think many guys like Tombraider, because of two very similar reasons. :p

Likes of Tombraider.
I seem to recall seeing a news item about how popular the first Tomb Raider was with women. However unrealistic her figure, she is a strong female character. I bought all of them and only finished the last one- although only three of them were actually any good :cheeky:
I do think that the lack of strong female characters in many games does put women off. If DX:IW got one thing right it was the option of playing as a female Alex.
