i am having a really big problem finding this daedric cresent, i know that you have to open the box on the shelf in the hall of fyr, but my lockersplitter scrool dosnt work at all. it hits the box and then nothing. any clues?
one more thing,
after i kiled that guy who cures your disease it gave me the little "your game is messed up now" message? do i really need him after he cures the disease? please help!:erm:

First off about the message- its about the main quest. I have already beaten the main quest and i still get that message wonder why? You might still need that guy though... well not him specifically but there is a person downstairs that MIGHT not like that you killed the only person that was taking care of him (this person happens to be the only person in VVardenfell that can repair the Wraithguard) but then again i say might you should go see if the Dwarf/Spider will still talk to you. If not make yourself invisible and then see if you can talk to him. If you can select topics for discussion you can still get the Wraith guard. Although you don't actually need it to beat the main quest its still a nice peice of equipment.
About the daedric Crescent you said it was in the Hall of Fyr? Well i guess it is but all I know is that i have already been through that place and I dont have it. If that is the case then i just prob. thought it sucked. I remember gettin the Savior's hide there and Cool looking Daedric amulet that i had never seen before. I think that the "scourge" hammer was there too but i didn't pick that up either.....so it's probably where you say. O.K. then just look around downstairs on the corpisarium for treasure boxes and open all of those. there are keys inside them and one of them will either get you the key to Fyr's ornate lockbox or it will work on the box itself. Can't help you figure out why your locksplitter scroll didn't work cause I just use picks.

Return0 to get the daedric crescent you need to do the follwoing -

I personally don't know why a scroll which opens level 100 locks didn't work to open this box because it should IMHO so you may feel you'd like to use the console command unlock if you believe like me that it is a bug. To use the command open the console and click on the box with the mouse and then type unlock and press enter.
If you don't believe it's a bug i suggest you do as Return0 has suggested and complete the 'key game'.
In regards to Tel Fyr i'm unsure about your problem due to the fact i've put off doing the main quest untill i've become head of some more guilds. I do believe he still has a role to play after curing you of corpus but i can't be sure. If you wish to join the Telvanni after doing the main quest i'd advise you to put restrain the urge to kill - you need him for a quest.

He has no role in the main quest after curing corprus, it gives you the message anyways.
What will happen though is Caius in balmore will get pissed at you, but the spider dwarf will not.
Just talk to the spider guy about repairing the wraithguard and get two books from inside the ghostfence along with 2 papers you will need from behind Vivec in the temple.
bring them to the spider guy and he will then give you the jerry-rigged wraithguard in 24 hours.
Then the only things you will need to do is get Sunder and Keening, and destroy dagoth Ur, then the main quest will be completed.
You can skip almost the whole main quest after you cure yourself of corprus.
