In the vast majority of cases there are no difference between knocking out someone or killing them. However I recall several conversational changes depending on whether you killed someone or knocked out someone. I don't remember them perfectly though.

That idea has merits as it seems to punish you for doing stuff....if you do the Deus Ex classic sneak/kill combo, going everywhere, becoming a jack of all trades, killing everyone, it gets harder...

If you guys want that much level of realism, do you know what you've got to do? First you figure out a way to develop nano-augmentations, then you upgrde your body with your developed augs, after which you buy 1/2 a dozen black-market weapons, grab about 2000$ in cash, find a major world conspiracy that's waiting to be solved, tell your parents/wife/cat that you'll be gone for 2 months, and then go outside and have some fun saving the world :joke: (oh and don't forget the trenchcoat and shades).

I was greatly disappointed when I was forced to betray UNATCO (I am a very loyal person by nature and just because I discover that the people I am loyal to are evil instead of good does not mean I will betray them). Having the ability to take a completely different path will greatly increase the game's replay value since the latter half of the game will be different depending on which path you choose.
