The forums show the light bulb saying there are threads to be read but when I go in them, the thread icons are all showing as being read
It all worked fine about an hour ago.

What's with all these fools posting about how they don't like the new look and/or implying that the new look is something TTLG have been working on themselves?
This is a new version of the vBulletin software. All old themes will not work with this new version. We are stuck with something close to the default vBulletin theme for now, until Daveh can manage to "TTLGify" it. It is not going to stay looking like this forever.
Actually try reading the thread before complaining.
And, as I said near the start of the thread, I will be recreating my dark theme as soon as Daveh has finished the template so that I have something to work from.

I can get used to the tabs, the rounded edges, and the new layout. I kinda like em in fact. The thing is, I don't think they mesh together well with the default TTLG color scheme. There's too much white, and not enough oldschool TTLG blue to offset it comfortably.
At risk of sounding like an interior decorator here, the old colors don't flow well with the new UI. I think it would look alot better with a slightly darker blue and a middling not-too-dark grey background.
edit: hell, I might try my hand at making a skin if it's possible. Do you have to have the entire vBulletin package to do it, or is there a nice template designer out I can grab for free? So far, all my googling has just led me to a few color examples and nothing more.

IMHO wayyy too much eye candy!
Save it for the FM's!
At least shrink the thread page icons as shown on a sub forum page. Too much emphasis. Also blend their colors to further de-emphasise. It fragments the the reading flow making reviewing the forum's threads much more difficult! :(

I mainly miss the dark borders around posts... Kept things nicely separated/grounded.
I also just noticed that post # doesn't show up on the white replys, and barely shows up on the dark replys.
Aggh, also having word wrap issues myself. Also having the smilies not showing correctly in edit...
Anyways, all I really wanted to say was, aesthetically speaking, I miss the dark borders... Without them, I feel like the whole thread is liable to float off my screen into the clouds at any moment...
(Lmao, with this word wrap issue, it makes my post look like I'm writing poetry or something).
Edit:Ok, now word wrap seems to have hit my post retroactively... Weird. Hopefully that's a good sign.

Hralworlogh. This is gonna take some getting used to. It just looks so...
modern. Like a lot of forums. And
centred. I'm looking at the "Topic Review" as I'm making this post, and it's all just narrow and down the centre, byeh. Well, as long as we don't have avatars popping in.

Looking forward to it.

The general look got changed, not the userbase, what the fuck is wrong with you?

BUG: The lightbulbs were working earlier, but now it seems that they're not turning off when I finish reading all unread posts in a section.
EDIT: Hmm, they're working now...odd.

Keenly looking forward to the return of your Dark Theme, NV - always preferred it, plus I'll be able to put my sunglasses away again!
Have also noticed several minor things I think could be better (all previously mentioned), but will wait for Dave to complete his improvements - & NV's Dark Theme - before judging the new format.
BTW; this smilie - - is still largely off-centre.
