Since me and probably others who hadn't read this thread were wondering what's up: If there's a downtime planned for the forums, please announce it on the hub instead of the forums, where people can read it when it's happening.
Also my posts get formatted into short lines. Editing them solves this.

Don't know why - there are several emty lines between text of the post and
"Last edited by..." note, which make post unnecesserily big. I can't edit it, it's not an area I can change in edit window it seems:

I suppose half these problems are configuration issues and some just irrevocable changes by VBulletin? Pity they cannot provide some means for customers to set up a trial forum to set up updates, update search indexes in the new format, and iron out all the difficulties before it 'fixes' the main forums which were not broken to begin with.

I'm spotting all sorts of obviously bugged stuff, but y'know, since it's obviously bugged, I'm just going to assume that The Powers That Be already know about it. Any issues still hanging around a week or two from now, then I'll speak up.

Not sure if anyone has posted this. The FAQ's in Thief Gen are borked. They take you to the main page.

Not only the FAQs in Thief Gen, I believe a lot of links take you to the main page. (For instance kamyk's FM Listing Thread links.)

Thanks for your continued work David!
The forums are beginning to read a bit better. Still the color scheme just isn't "Thiefy". Doubt I'll ever get used to it.
I understand that there are many good reasons for the upgrade. But I am dissapointed that a "call" wasn't put out to the community:
RE: Tweaking the new version for the best possible seamless transition
There would still be the many moaners (yikes, Zombies ? :p ) but just like the call for financial support was overwhelming I think you'd have been pleasently surprised.
Sorry, but I'm still in the camp of save the eye candy for the FM's.
Zombies? There not so bad once you get to know'em. Now spiders, they still can make my skin crawl!
Sincerely,
EarlyTaffer

Agreed. I think rather than this white and pale purple-blue nonsense the posts should be like scrawled pages of papyrus submerged in darkness then lit by the gentle flicker of torchlight. The forum main pages should resemble ghostly hallways with each thread title being a doorway, with a lockpicking animation to be activated before entering each thread. The presence of mods or admins on the forums should be signified by integrated flash audio with a guard's mutterings and the falling of footsteps (using EAX, naturally). Also, the only available icons/emoticons should be Keeper glyphs.
I think anything less than this is pretty shoddy and a poor effort on the part of some supposed LGS fansite.
Fucking white and purple, I ask you.
