Searching the forums will bring back a load of nonsense results, be it really old ones or none at all as the indexes are currently being rebuilt and this will take a looooooonnnnggg time.

You can also take advantage of the marvellous "site:ttlg.com/forums" feature of Google if you need to search at the moment.
I think the thread starter will end up back underneath the thread title where it was originally, but I need to shift and restyle the paging first as it it pointlessly big

I don't know why, but with the new fonts, I find it exceptionally difficult to look at the list of threads in a forum tell the difference between threads I have read and those I have not read. The contrast is just not there. Is this on the list of things that you are planning to fix?
It might be a good idea to post a list of reported "bugs" with their current dispositions, that is, indicate which ones you plan to address and perhaps also when you think you will be able to do so. That might cut down on the duplicative complaints. Just a suggestion.

I also don't like thies style very much. Some smileys still have a problem, but the worst thing IMO is that it's very hard to tell which thread I've read and which I haven't read as stated above. Could the old way of read threads becoming darker return?

I figured out my weird login problem. My bookmarks all start with (
http://ttlg.com-) when I do that, the site assumes I'm logged out. If I type (
http://www.ttlg.com), however, the site works properly. I'll update my bookmarks, but it's definitely an issue with VB4 according to google.

I wouldn't mind more compact spacing of thread titles, but otherwise the new look is slick.
Seconded, the spacing and font size are really starting grate.. But I have to say the way the individual posts now looks is awesome, very clean and compact. The quotation bubbles are very pleasing on the eyes.
But on a different note, why cant 1/we minimize/close-up the "What's Going On?" section at the bottom...

I have no idea, I haven't edited it out, but I do want to get it 'back' in again as it is irritating.

Looking good!
But (sorry) can we get rid of the red icons for "hot" threads? Does anyone care if a thread is hot? We can all tell when a thread has lots of posts, right? We got rid of the flaming icons for hot long ago and we should get rid of these too!
For another cosmetic thing, the post ID number in the upper right hand corner of each post is hard to see in the white posts because the colors are so similar.

Hi there.
I just want to give a word about visual side of the update (as I didn't spend enough time to say much about functionalities of new version anyway).
When I logged in yesterday I felt lost and upset about the mess I have seen (crazy colours were the worst thing). But since yesterday I watch how much work is done by you, David, to make it better. Now I noticed that you shrinked lines in threads lists in forums, which were much too large in my opinion, so I believe that in time everything would be all right and I will get used to things that changed and will stay changed :) Thank you for your hard work at ttlg!
One thing I don't like in new layout is that Post preview shows different style of text, so it is not a real preview as I can't determine how my post will look like. But it's not a critical thing, just slightly annoing.
As a side note: is there any chance that as a side effect of the update the "There are currently ... users browsing this forum. (... members & ... guests)...[NAMES LIST]" thingie will come back to the top of the page composition? It was moved to the bottom some time ago and it's one thing I don't like very much since then. I liked to see who is currently active, without scrolling down each time. I often keep eye who watches editors guild after I ask some urgent question, to evaluate the chance for quick help ;)
