I can no longer use the search engine. "no search results" comes up no matter what I enter into the search field.
Is the engine not currently configured ? Do you offer a search manual for Dummies ?

Unfortunately this is the same for me also - the forums are too busy and its harder to see. Can other forum profile skin options be added please so users have a choice of how the forum looks...?
The only issue I have with Vb4 is how busy the sections are now, the old plain pastel look has been replaced with the graduated colors for each of the threads which makes the text harder to read..

http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/3493/ttlgvb4.jpg I agree! The font colors are very hard for me to read.
I am using Firefox and zoomed in the text only and the text is larger but still too light.
Forums are about reading, and this light BG with light TXT is giving me a headache.

I'm not certain but I think it is only searching stuff posted since the forum change. Presumably this will be fixed so search can access previous posts.
@NV - Opera 10 here too. So I'm wondering now if it's style difference. I never needed to zoom with ttlg before. I do with Dark Mod. Nuisance is that they represent less than 5% browsing but I access them 95% more than other websites! So if I change the default zoom then it's debatable whether I'll more zooming out more than I now zoom in per day. :(

Doesn't Opera remember which pages you have on zoom? I'm zoomed in on this site and it looks quite nice (apart from the brightness), but FireFox seems to remember which sites I like zoom on.
I think the text and the icons are pretty neat actually. Especially like the boxes around the pages numbers.

I appreciate all your hard work and this site is a great resource, it will take a lot of us old timers a while to get use to this change. I would just like to say that I too think the font colors are hard to read and the text itself is too small.

So when is the main page getting an update? We had that "competition" for layout and then things seem to have just fizzled out...

For those who are having font size problems. What fonts and where?
The post fonts are exactly the same size as in vb3.8
On the left is vB3, on the right, vB4.

David: It's different in my browser. Can't do a before and after now of course but about 45% smaller and somehow thinner.
SE: No, I raised this issue in the Opera forums that it would be a good new feature if the zoom could be set for individual websites and quite a few others wanted it but it didn't happen.
I've now rediscovered 'minimum font size' settings in Opera and this helps a lot. I'd long forgotten about that and my old setting was long past its sell by date with the increase of desktop resolutions since Win95/8. :)

I was just reading through this thread and was gonna mention the
Minimum Font Size setting. Like Opera, it can also be set in Firefox, Chrome, and I'm sure all lesser browsers as well. :)
