Maybe OT but I'll ask here since I don't believe I noticed this before the upgrade. When opening the forums, occasionally the page will load and then immediately reload. It happens quickly so it's not really an issue; I was just curious as to why. Using IE6 on XP SP2 if that matters. Also, add another tick to the 'new forum features = win' column. :thumb:

Is there a reason that the search function no longer includes words of three letters or less?
David on 18/10/2005 at 16:02
It utilises MySQL's FullText searching engine and, while being far more efficient and server-friendly than the old vBulletin search engine, does have a minimum word-length of 4 characters, which cannot be overcome without recompiling MySQL (at least in the stable versions of MySQL, I don't know about dev shots of MySQL 5,) which is a bit of a problem as we use binary builds and not DIY builds.
What words or phrases were you lookng for?

TOT, obviously.

Could you add a link to the "mark forums read" in the line where the quick links are? That would be marvellouse. As it is the function I use most often, I'd like to have it on top level instead of one level down in the quick links. I don't know about other browsers, but on my screen, there would be enough space.

Isn't it already there?
Quick Links -> Mark Forums Read.
EDIT: Oh, you probably mean directly in the navbar. Not a good idea me thinks, and it would just save you a click anyway.

I know, it's a matter of taste/lazyness. I like the forum jump, because it's a single click. I don't like the quick-links because it's a click-wait-move-click. Maybe it's just me. Thought I'd ask for a direct link. Oh and thanks for the () that's really nice.
