Bug? Plot point? Or just happenstance? Read on - but beware the spoilers.
Every blessed time I go into the Vas dome with whatsherface the Buoyant Armiger, she turns on me right away and starts wailing on me. Is this because she's secretly in league with them, or because I inadvertantly beat up HER ancestor ghost while wailing on the Bone Lords? The other Buoyant Armigers at the Ghostgate love me, and she has a 100/100 Persuasion rating before we enter the dome. What's going on?
Oh, and assuming that she's not out to get me, is it AT ALL possible to get through that dome keeping her alive? The one time she didn't immediately go nuts on me, she died before I even found the first necromancer. She's like the Barney Fife of Buoyant Armigers. They must let her carry one spell in her shirt pocket.
So, can anyone shed any light on this?

I've done this, didn't seem bugged at all.
If you touch her ancestor ghost, she agros on you...
Since I was very low at the time, and you kinda get to kill some Daedric people, I had to use the ghost as a body guard, both her and the ghost took quite a beating...
Don't touch the stupid ghost, and you should be fine.

Yeah, but is there a branching plot point if she lives or dies? Does it make a difference? Cause she's so useless, I might as well just kill her right off to save her from smacking me with her little Stick of Justice when she's standing behind me in a long corridor trying to get the Bone Lord in front of me.
No plotbranch for keeping her alive, but you don't get anything for the quest if she dies. Do it like this: Clear everything in Vas, go to the chapel area and try to either get her stuck behind the "bookholder" in the center or just run from her. Enter the door to the "dremora-area" without her following you. Voila, she will live and you can kill the dremora, necro and get the quest completed.
Argh, I hated that mission with a vengeance. I had to reload god knows how many times because as soon as I went to attack an enemy, she would join in, get stuck behind me and smack me down with her spear. I got to the tower area, but those 2 dremora were too much for her and her little ghost, so I did it on my own (with a little help from a golden saint scroll, natch ;)).
There is also the second volume of Vampires on Vvardenfell on the shelf in the upper area of the tower, which is needed for a mages guild quest, so grab that on your way out, if you wish.
