I just plan to been driven around the city in a car, with people pointing at stuff. But I'm not totally adverse to freezing a bit. There's a point to visiting the city, after all.

I don't know if there's much to point to here, but in that case, you're probably best off coming for the spring. Dress light. Bring a raincoat.

If I'd visit in spring, could I rent a bike and happily pedal through sunshine? :D

This winter was hellishly cold. We had -5 C for a week.
Since when is -5°C hellishly cold...?
Gray on 24/2/2007 at 03:08
We've had motherfucking -46C... grumble grumble...

By "less frequent", I mean, it doesn't rain on every day of spring, only every other. You should get some sunshine. Either that, or just overcast skies. You shouldn't die of a heat wave, though.

It's hellishly cold for us.

-46°C, now that is hellishly cold.
Even us Icelanders haven't had to go through that sort of chilly day as far as I can remember.

Man, you don't need a guide. There's the mountains (north) the trees (about) and the pacific (west). As for the city itself, there's nothing that's super impressive individually (though I do see those tour busses about enough downtown) but rather the downtown core itself is pretty cool. It's a pretty nice downtown, rather big, some cool buildings, some places to eat and stuff to buy, just bike about. I dunno, check out the library I guess? I always find that pretty cool.

The only question that remains: Can you handle the bears? Because any place worth seeing here has them. The forest around Golden Years Falls is absolutely awesome.
