Actually, the cloned dust is fairly odd, in that the inventory and alchemy systems think it's a different ingredient then non-cloned dust. Lets you make potions with 2 different versions of vamp dust, if you want all the effects from it. Wonder if anything else works like that.

Bonemeal from the zombies in the Skingrad Recommendation quest did the same for me. Zombies usually have Mort Flesh instead of Bonemeal, so it may have something to do with that.

You can get some quick Vampire Dust by scourging the Imperial Sewers of their presence. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot down there. Just thought I should mention it though.
