How do you know when you are inflicted with the vampire disease before you sleep? I am level 58 and highly resistant to disease. Does that affect my chance of becoming a vampire? I tried casting weakness to common disease at 100 points for 10 seconds. But alas it didn't work. Please someone help.
Thanks.

When you are hit by a Vampire, there is a small chance that you will contract the disease Porphyric Hemophilia. When you get this, three days later, you will become a Vampire. Since the chance is so small, you will need to keep getting hit until you contract it, which may mean casting the Weakness to Disease spell over and over, as well as drinking healing potions.

I remember someone posting that you can contract vampirism by repeatedly searching a vampire's corpse.

That makes sense since you can get Common and Blight ones that way.
However I personally don't have any proof (I've only caught it once, and cured it right away... so I've never been a Vampire).
