no you dont have to talk to any1 at the university just recommendations from the guild halls then you talk to the guy in the lobby of the university he'll tell you a bunch of crap and then ask him about tasks or whatever and you get more quests and whatnot and eventually you are the arch-mage

im a vampire and im trying to make the potion to cure it and i have all the ingredients but garlic and nightshade. i have them in my inventory but the stupid bitch wont let me give them to her. where can i find these ingredients because i took these 2 from my stash at home in my cupboard???
( i dont plan on using the porion rite away, just wen i need to get rid of the disease. )

Alchemy shops sell them, or you can collect them in the wild (Skingrad is good for garlic, several people keep garlic hanging in their houses).

Just a little question; is it possible to complete all guild quests/main quest line while being a vampire?
I haven't heard any evidence to suggest you can't, in fact vampirism seems to have various benefits and few disadvantages...

I haven't tried it, but I don't see why not. The only thing stopping you would be the fear effect that a long-term vampire can create, stopping people from talking to you. However, as a quick feed will cancel that out (albeit also reducing your bonuses), I'd say it's very possible.

i was actually thinking of doing that but the only thing keeping me was the weakness to sunlight. it gets really annoying wen u wanna fast travel sumwhere but u cant b/c it wont let you while your taking sun damage. i kno that i can wait till nightime, but im just too lazy, thats why i got rid of the "disease" if u wanna call it that.

Well, feeding removes the sun damage of course, so the temporary decrease in your attribute boosts is worth it, generally.
