This is a new thread i made that cover 2 topics....vampires and all the different guilds
i got 4 questions to start it:
1. can i feed on any character without ruining my chances of not being able to do a quest
2. if i committ a crime wit the dark brotherhood or the thieves guild, will that make me go n get 20 bear pelts from the fighters guild again? or can i just eliminate my bounty b4 i talk to sum1 in the fighters guild?
3. Can i feed on the same person twice?
4. How can i become a vampire, and can i walk in the daylight if i am one. also, is it better or worse to be a vampire---pros/cons????

yeh, if you are already happy with your combat stats, is there any real advantage to being a vamp?

You become a vampire by contracting porphyric haemophilia (when fighting a vampire) and leaving it untreated for three days. The next time you sleep, you become a vampire.
Pros:
1. Stat and skill boosts (+5 to Strength, Willpower, Speed, Acrobatics, Athletics, Destruction, Hand to Hand, Illusion, Mysticism and Sneak) - this increases by 5 for every day you go without feeding. Resets if you feed.
2. A lesser power called Hunter's Sight (30 seconds of Night Eye and wide-ranging Detect Life for only 5 MPs).
3. Resistance to paralysis, disease and normal weapons - this increases every day you go without feeding. Resets if you feed.
4. Vampire's Seduction (high-level Charm power). Resets if you feed.
5. Reign of Terror (ability to silence and demoralise opponents). Resets if you feed.
6. Embrace of Shadows (3 minutes of invisibility plus 90 seconds of Night Eye). Resets if you feed.
Cons:
1. Weakness to fire - increases if you go without feeding.
2. Constant damage from sunlight if you have not fed within the last 24 hours.
3. After about 4 days without feeding, you will begin to visibly show vampiric features and many characters will not talk to you (although Vampire's Seduction can help with this). Resets if you feed.

who can u feed on without being caught with murder?
ercles on 12/7/2006 at 07:54
bums are apparently pretty good
Pisces on 12/7/2006 at 10:16
Well you don't actually kill them when feeding, though if you get caught you get charged with asualt or something like. Bums are good, so are guild members in your local fighter's/mage's guild, if your lockpick is decent then you can go to taverns or even houses.

You should be able to feed any number of times on a character, just do it when no ones around. I think you can feed on quest people, but I'm not sure what the other question applies to anything about being a vampire. I have a question, are there any vampire guilds like there was in morrwind?

1. can i feed on any character without ruining my chances of not being able to do a quest?
It seems so. The character doesn't wake up whilst you're doing it, and even if they wake up after you feed their attitude towards you doesn't change.
2. if i committ a crime wit the dark brotherhood or the thieves guild, will that make me go n get 20 bear pelts from the fighters guild again? or can i just eliminate my bounty b4 i talk to sum1 in the fighters guild?
Haven't a clue.
3. Can i feed on the same person twice?
Yes.
Don't feed unless you really have to though, the bonus increases that you get from not feeding are very nice indeed.

I'd say the constant sun damage is a need to feed, but you didn't ask my question, heh
Matthew on 14/7/2006 at 17:49
Well, you can travel at night to basically negate the whole sun damage business. It's also fairly easy to get from place to place, healing the sun damage as you get into a building (the increased speed granted by vampirism also helps this). Often it's worth enduring in order to maintain a +15/+20 boost to your stats and a whole slew of powers.
Also, I'm not aware of any vampire clans like Morrowind had.
