sure, because everyone knows that meth addicts are the happiest people on earth.

Certainly depression and low energy are linked, but I don't think it's any sort of simple, direct causal relationship. In fact, I think low energy pretty much requires some other sort of stressor to even go in that direction, otherwise it's just relaxation. It doesn't get much lower energy than sipping your favorite drink on a warm tropical beach, but that's not generally depressing per se. :D

I called the psychiatrists at work and thye confirm that the extra tea given, on my suggestion, to all the depressed patients has cured them. :p
Seriously though, no-one knows how or why we get depressed and the only persistant neurochemical theory is clearly borked with proof via coke and 'phets experiments. Apparently.

22 years of wonderful depression this September. But frankly I feel weird when not feeling down, and I don't know any person who can be happy 24/7, that's utopia.
Never felt better than when feeling down and miserable.

ever try just thinking about your probems simply 10 - 15 minutes a day? Eliminate the rest with "thought stopping" (google Thought stopping depression if you've never heard of it). Definatly helps...
p.s, why the FUCK did some assfuck moderate delete my post...my have something to do with insecurity

Well, there must be some reason meth addicts like the stuff; and ketamine is apparently a very effective, fast antidepressant, though I don't know it's effects on energy level--so perhaps people are self-treating with the illegals.
Still if there was a drug that goosed the mitochondria, I wonder if it would work as an antidepressant too.
Oh, and I don't generally go obsessing about my problems, I don't have too many at the moment; though I'm coming off a bad couple of years. Things are looking pretty rosy at the moment.

Yeah it's pretty well recognised that there is a section of durg users that are essentially self-medicating psychiatric problems.

Funny, because he was the titular meathead in that exchange and I was the advising friend, so I got a handjob out of it! By those muscular little hands, no less.
