Been an age since I played this game and I tried installing it just now only to have it cough, sputter, wheeze and come to a crashing halt when it reached disk 4.
I'd be eternally grateful if someone could upload a copy of their disk 4 so I could play this fantastic game again. That or suggest some alternative.

Ok, got it installed but now I've hit another problem. If I try running it with VDMS it gets as far as 'EMS allocated' then just hangs. Task Manager says is running ok but it it just sits there with the cursor blinking. Any ideas?

I use Win98 (so have no VDMS experience), and I don't recall ever having that issue. Sorry. Hopefully someone else can help.

Right, I've tried it on another computer and it tells me:
Out of EMS Memory. Error code C001
Anyone know how I can get EMS on an XP machine?

Hmnn... I just posted a reply to this but the original has dissapeared :confused:
Anyway, my suggestion is to use <a href="http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/">DOSBOX</a> . I am at work at the moment and have just installed VDMSound, DOSBOX and installed UW2. It worked without any configuration. I seem to recall having to do a little bit more on my home PC when I originally installed it, but I've still got an older version of DOSBOX installed on that.
At any rate, let me know if you need any help with installing and running it.

Thanks twisty, I've got DOSBOX up and running and after a bit of fiddling UW2 is now working perfectly. :D
